About the Congress
The Autism Europe International Congress 2028 will take place in the vibrant city of Bilbao, hosted by APNABI Autismo Bizkaia. This event
will bring together professionals, researchers, individuals with autism, and their families to exchange knowledge, share experiences and build community.
The congress in Bilbao will be held at the Euskalduna Jauregia, the city’s premier conference center, located near the iconic Guggenheim Museum, which will be the stunning setting for the Congress Gala Dinner. Both are located right in the heart of Bilbao, are a key part of our local community and are surrounded by nature and parks, offering perfect spaces for calm and rest during the congress.

About APNABI
We are Spain’s largest non-profit association dedicated to autistic individuals and their families. For nearly half a century, we’ve been a
welcoming home, accompanying people throughout their life.
In 2028, we will proudly celebrate our 50th anniversary, marking five decades of unwavering commitment. Currently, our community includes around 2,000 associated members and their families, besides our dedicated team that comprises over 450 professionals.
As the host of the 2028 congress in Bilbao, we will continue and strengthen the vital work carried out by Autism Europe during these past
years congresses and AsIAm - Ireland’s Autism Charity in the present edition. Our aim is to further empower the autism community, foster
global collaboration to advance understanding and policy, and provide new networking opportunities. The event will also champion advocacy and awareness initiatives, and present the latest autism-related research, experiences and services.
